Titanium Tetraisopropanolate TTIP CAS 546-68-9

Titanium Tetraisopropanolate is an organometallic compound with the chemical formula Ti(OCH(CH₃)₂)₄. It appears as a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a mild, characteristic odor. Reacts violently with water, but soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, isopropanol, toluene, and hexane. Commonly used as a catalyst in organic synthesis, particularly in transesterification, polymerization, and epoxidation reactions. Also functions as a precursor for the production of titanium dioxide (TiO₂) thin films and nanoparticles, as a crosslinking agent in silicone rubber and coatings, and as an adhesion promoter in various industrial applications. Highly moisture-sensitive; should be stored in airtight containers under an inert atmosphere away from water and humidity.
