L-Cysteine Hydrochloride Anhydrous CAS 52-89-1

White crystal or crystalline powder, slight odor, sour taste, soluble in water, ammonia, acetic acid, slightly soluble in ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, benzene, carbon disulfide, carbon tetrachloride. It is stable to acid, but easily oxidized to cystine by air in neutral or slightly alkaline solution, trace iron and heavy metal ions can promote oxidation. Its hydrochloride is more stable, so it is generally made into hydrochloride.L-Cysteine is a sulfur-containing non-essential amino acid. L-cysteine is a sulfur-containing non-essential amino acid, which is synthesized by replacing the hydroxyl oxygen atom of serine with the sulfur atom of methionine and by bladder sulfide in living organisms.L-cysteine can generate glutathione, which can participate in the reduction process of cells and phospholipid metabolism of liver and protect liver cells from damage, and stimulate hematopoietic function, increase leukocytes, and promote the repair of skin damages. Its mp is 175℃, decomposition temperature 175℃, isoelectric point 5.07, [α]25D-16.5(H2O), [α]25D+6.5(5mol/L,HCl).
