L-Aspartic acid is white crystal or crystalline powder, slightly acidic taste. Soluble in boiling water, slightly soluble in water at 25 ℃ (0.5%), soluble in dilute acid and sodium hydroxide solution, insoluble in ethanol, ether, heated to 270 ℃ decomposition, isoelectric point of 2.77, and its specific rotation is related to the solvent dissolved. In acid solution it is right-spin, in alkali solution it is left-spin, and in aqueous solution it is right-spin.

1.Performance and use

L-Aspartic acid is used as an electrolyte supplement in amino acid infusion, inorganic ion supplements such as potassium and calcium, and fatigue recovery agents.

L-Aspartic acid can be used as ammonia detoxifier, liver function promoter, fatigue recovery agent and other pharmaceuticals, can be made of sodium L-aspartate food additives and a variety of cool drinks additives, but also as a biochemical reagent, culture medium and intermediates of organic synthesis.
