IRGANOX 3052 61167-58-6

Antioxidant AO-3052 is used to study the mechanical properties of plasticizers in retail fresh meat packaging and non-PVC stretch films; it also serves as a thermal stabilizer for butadiene-styrene copolymers. It is produced by esterifying Antioxidant 2246 with acrylic acid at 110°C in the presence of phosphorus trichloride, and is used to protect polymers, lubricants, and photoresists against thermal oxidation.
