IRGAFOS P-EPQ 119345-01-6 THP-EPQ

The antioxidant THP-EPQ, also known as tetra(2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl)-4,4'-diphenyl diphosphite, is an additive used in polymeric materials. Its primary function is to delay the degradation of materials caused by the action of oxygen during processing or use. It is soluble in hexane, benzene, toluene, styrene, ethyl acetate, acetone, and ethanol, but insoluble in water. It exhibits good heat resistance (remaining stable at 350°C), low volatility, and is resistant to hydrolysis; it does not cause contamination or discoloration. When used in combination with a primary antioxidant as a secondary antioxidant, it can enhance antioxidant efficiency.
