It is used as emulsifier, solubilizer, opacifier and defoamer in the production of cream cosmetics and liquid detergent shampoo in the cosmetic industry, as fabric finishing agent in the textile industry, and as additive in pigment grinding. It can be used as defoamer, with viscosity reduction and foam inhibition.
