What is Diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid?

Diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA), also known as diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid, is an excellent amino carboxylic chelating agent with strong chelating properties. Its complexes with most cations are more stable than the corresponding chelates of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid.
