Tetramethoxymethyl glycoluril is a curing agent that is formed by etherification of excess methanol with tetrahydroxymethyl glycoluril under acidic conditions. It is then distilled within the range of ra=5-7 to separate volatile substances, followed by further hydroxymethylation and etherification to obtain tetrahydroxymethyl glycoluril.
