 Applications 

1. Liquid And Transparent Soap Base: As the potassium salt of oleic acid it dissolves more readily in water and in alcohol than the corresponding sodium soap, so formulators use it to build clear liquid hand soap, industrial liquid soap, translucent and transparent soap bars and semi liquid soap systems that stay stable.

2. Cleansing And Emulsifying Surfactant For Personal Care: Listed under the INCI name Potassium Oleate, it works as an anionic surfactant that lifts oil and soil from skin and hair while emulsifying the oil phase, and it appears in liquid soaps, facial cleansers, body washes, shampoos and shaving preparations.

3. Emulsifier For Emulsion Polymerization And Latex: Used as the soap emulsifier in emulsion polymerization and latex manufacturing, including latex paints and coatings, where it stabilises the monomer droplets and the growing polymer particles through the reaction and carries through into the finished latex.

4. Textile And Leather Processing Aid: In textiles it acts as a soap that strips excess dye and, combined with wetting agents, prepares greige fabric for dyeing by removing oils, waxes and spinning finishes; in leather it emulsifies the oil phase during treatment and goes into cleaners and conditioners that clean and soften in one step.

5. Agricultural Adjuvant And Metalworking Lubricant: Used to emulsify insecticide and herbicide concentrates so they stay stable in the spray tank and spread evenly on the leaf, and as a lubricant, mould release and drawing compound in metalworking fluids and lubricant formulations.
