1. Food Emulsifier And Staling Control: A non ionic monoglyceride with an HLB of 5.2, it works as an oil in water co emulsifier and as a starch complexing agent in bakery systems, where it slows the staling of straight chain starch, and it belongs to the mono and diglycerides category E471.

2. Food Grade Antimicrobial Preservative: Recognised as GRAS for use in foods, it inhibits bacteria and enveloped viruses in laboratory studies, which is why formulators use it as a preservative option to extend shelf life and hold spoilage organisms in check.

3. Cosmetic Emulsifier And Skin Conditioner: Glyceryl laurate serves as a co emulsifier for oil in water emulsions and as an emollient and skin conditioning agent that leaves skin feeling moisturised and soothed, and it also works as a mild surfactant in deodorant and personal care products.

4. Nutraceutical And Supplement Formats: Supplement makers use it in capsules, mini pellets and powders, including the well known small pellet format for oral intake, and it blends readily with other lipid and powder ingredients in a formulation.
