1. Skin Emollient For Skin Care Products: A dry, breathable ester oil with good permeability and strong affinity for skin, it is an emollient that spreads easily and leaves a light skin feel rather than a heavy oily film, which is why it appears widely in skin care products.

2. Softener, Dispersant And Solvent In Toiletries: Works as a softener, dispersant and solvent in cosmetics and shampoos, where it helps distribute oils and active ingredients evenly through the formulation and conditions the skin and hair.

3. Excellent Oxidation And Thermal Stability: The saturated palmitate chain gives the ester excellent chemical and thermal stability and makes it resistant to oxidation, so a formulation holds its colour and odour over a long shelf life instead of degrading the way a more oxidation prone oil would.

4. Secondary Plasticizer And Extrusion Aid For Synthetic Resins: Serves both as a secondary plasticizer for synthetic resins and as an extrusion aid, softening the compound and improving melt flow during processing so that the resin extrudes and shapes more easily.

5. Lubricant And Lubricant Additive Applications: Used as a lubricant and lubricant additive, and because it dissolves in a wide range of organic solvents it can be carried into solvent borne lubricant and processing systems.
