 Applications 

1. Silane Coupling Agent For Glass Fibre Composites: Carries an inorganic triethoxysilyl end that bonds to the hydroxyl groups on glass fibre and an organic glycidoxy end that reacts into the resin, bridging the two phases against interfacial debonding, and its ethoxy groups release ethanol on hydrolysis.

2. Surface Treatment For Mineral Fillers: Applied to talc, wollastonite, silica and alumina trihydrate before they are compounded into nylon, polypropylene or epoxy, it raises filler and resin compatibility, reduces the floating of filler at the surface and improves rigidity and dimensional stability.

3. Adhesion Promoter For Coatings And Anti Corrosion Primers: Forms a chemical bond to metal, glass, ceramic and concrete substrates, so it is used as the primer chemistry for industrial anti corrosion coatings on ships, bridges and pipelines, where it limits blistering and peeling and improves salt spray and moisture resistance.

4. Adhesives, Sealants And Electronic Bonding: Improves the adhesion of silicone and other sealants to stone and concrete, including humid environments, and raises bond strength in electronic adhesives used for chip packaging where the joint must survive repeated thermal cycling.

5. Reactive Epoxy Group For Hybrid And Functional Materials: Its glycidoxy ring provides a reactive site for epoxy, acrylic, urethane and polyester systems, and it is used to build epoxy functional silica nanoparticles, hybrid organic inorganic materials and water repellent self cleaning coatings.
