1. Rubber and Tire Industry - Vulcanization Activator: During rubber vulcanization, zinc oxide can work in combination with stearic acid to significantly improve the vulcanization speed and crosslinking density. This imparts better thermal conductivity, abrasion resistance, tear strength, and anti-aging properties to tires and rubber products. Widely used in automobile tires, conveyor belts, rubber shoes, and cables.

2. Ceramic Glazes: Zinc oxide acts as a strong flux in ceramics, lowering the melting temperature of glazes, increasing the gloss, transparency, and hardness of the glaze surface, and reducing glaze cracking.

3. Specialty Glass: Used in the production of optical glass, heat-resistant glass (such as microwave oven turntables), and low-expansion glass, improving the glass's resistance to chemical corrosion and mechanical strength.

4. Architectural Coatings: Zinc oxide is weakly alkaline and can react with fatty acids in the paint film to form zinc soaps, enhancing the film's durability. It also possesses natural anti-mildew and antibacterial properties and is commonly used in exterior anti-mildew paints.

5. Plastic Sunscreen and Anti-aging: Added to outdoor plastic products (such as plastic tables and chairs, agricultural films) and synthetic fibers as a UV stabilizer, preventing plastics from yellowing and becoming brittle due to sun exposure.
