Applications

For Oilfield Completion And Workover Fluids: Zinc bromide (ZnBr2, CAS 7699-45-8) is used to formulate high-density, solids-free clear brine fluids for well completion, workover and drilling mud displacement, helping operators control formation pressure and maintain wellbore stability in demanding oil and gas operations.
2. For Zinc-Bromine Flow Batteries: As the active electrolyte component in zinc-bromine redox flow batteries, zinc bromide supports energy storage systems for grid and industrial applications, where high solubility and stable electrochemical performance matter.
3. For Organic Synthesis And Catalysis: Zinc bromide acts as a Lewis acid catalyst in organic synthesis, supporting stereo-selective and regio-selective reactions in the production of fine chemicals and specialty intermediates.
