UV Stabilizer UV-1 CAS 57834-33-0

UV Stabilizer UV-1 is a hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) of the monomeric class, typically with the chemical name bis(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl) sebacate or related derivatives. It appears as a white to off-white crystalline powder or solid, with a faint characteristic amine-like odor. Insoluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents such as acetone, ethanol, toluene, and ethyl acetate. Commonly used in plastic and polymer industries to protect materials (such as polypropylene, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, and styrenics) from UV-induced degradation, surface cracking, and color fading. Also functions as a light stabilizer in coatings, adhesives, films, and fibers to enhance long-term outdoor durability and weatherability. Stable under normal storage conditions and should be kept in tightly sealed containers away from light, moisture, and strong oxidizing agents.
