UV Absorber 3030 is a benzotriazole-based ultraviolet light stabilizer. It appears as a pale yellow to yellow crystalline powder with a faint characteristic odor. Practically insoluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents such as chloroform, methylene chloride, and toluene. Commonly used in plastic and polymer industries to protect materials (such as polyvinyl chloride, polyolefins, and polystyrenics) from UV-induced degradation and discoloration. Also functions as a light stabilizer in coatings, adhesives, and sealants to enhance outdoor durability. Stable under normal storage conditions and should be kept in tightly sealed containers away from light and moisture.
