Ursolic acid CAS 77-52-1

Ursolic acid is a naturally occurring pentacyclic triterpenoid compound with the chemical formula C₃₀H₄₈O₃. It appears as a white to off-white crystalline powder, odorless. Insoluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, methanol, acetone, and chloroform. Commonly used as an emulsifying and stabilizing agent in cosmetic and personal care products (such as creams, lotions, and serums) for its skin-conditioning properties. Also functions as a natural preservative and antioxidant additive in certain food and beverage applications, as well as a raw material in the synthesis of other triterpenoid derivatives. Stable under normal storage conditions and should be kept in tightly sealed containers away from light and moisture.
