TRIOCTYL TRIMELLITATE is a plasticizer that was evaluated for endocrine disrupting activities through estrogen receptor alpha binding assay.

TOTM has been used as reference fluid for viscosity measurements using vibrating wire viscometer, to evaluate its use as a lubricant in the polymer industry.
