1.Performance and use
Tetrasodium pyrophosphate is mainly used as water softener, printing and dyeing bleaching agent, wool degreasing agent, boiler descaling agent, metal ion chelating agent, dispersant, printing and dyeing and grass products fine bleaching agent. Additives for synthetic washing. It is used as a regulator of oil well mud, and as an auxiliary in the production of ABS resin. Used as copper complexing agent in electroplating solution. Sodium pyrophosphate decahydrate is mainly used as toothpaste stabiliser. In the food industry as emulsifier, buffer, chelating agent gelling agent, stabiliser. Sodium pyrophosphate meets Ag+ to produce white silver pyrophosphate, while orthophosphate reacts with Ag+ to produce yellow silver orthophosphate precipitate, which is a characteristic reaction to distinguish the two salts from each other.
