Commonly used in cosmetic and personal care products (such as cleansers, shampoos, soaps, and deodorants) for its cleansing and purifying properties. Also functions as a natural preservative, an antiseptic additive in household cleaning products, and a fragrance component in perfumery and aromatherapy preparations. Stable when stored in a cool, dark place away from light and air.
