Sodium Poly[(naphthaleneformaldehyde)sulfonate] is a high‑range anionic surfactant and superplasticizer belonging to the family of naphthalene sulfonate formaldehyde condensates. It appears as a light brown to dark brown powder with a slight characteristic odor. Highly soluble in water and exhibits excellent dispersing, wetting, and fluidizing properties. Commonly used in the construction industry as a water‑reducing agent (superplasticizer) for concrete and cement mixtures to improve workability and strength. Also functions as a dispersant in textile dyeing, pigment formulations, gypsum boards, and certain agricultural chemical suspensions. Stable under normal storage conditions and compatible with other anionic and nonionic additives.
