Sodium Methyl Lauroyl Taurate SMCT CAS 4337-75-1

Sodium methyl lauroyl taurate (Galapon LT40), also known as sodium lauroyl methyl taurate, is a milky-white paste at room temperature. A 1% aqueous solution has a pH of 7–8, with an active ingredient content of ≥40.0%. It is a safe, non-irritating anionic surfactant, primarily used in foaming facial cleansers (as the primary surfactant in surfactant systems and as a co-surfactant in soap-based systems), foaming bath gels, shampoos and similar products. It possesses excellent cleansing and emulsifying properties, produces good foam, and imparts a gentle, moisturising and refreshing sensation to the hair and skin.
