It can be used as raw material of medicine, health care products and food additive. It plays the role of intestinal mucosal nutrient, electrolyte balance regulator, gastrointestinal microecological regulator, compound acidifier, fragrance agent, food attractant and so on
Sodium butyrate is one of the feed additives allowed to be used in China, which was included in the "Feed additive varieties Catalogue" by the Ministry of Agriculture in 2006. The main application method in animal production is to add sodium butyrate products in animal feed, which plays the role of intestinal mucosal nutrition agent, electrolyte balance regulator, gastrointestinal microecological regulator, compound acidifier, flavor agent, food attractant and so on.
