Polyisobutylene (PIB) is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic viscous or semi-solid substance with excellent chemical properties such as heat resistance, oxygen resistance, ozone resistance, weather resistance, UV resistance, acid and alkali resistance. Polyisobutylene is a colorless, odorless, and non-toxic homopolymer of isobutene. Due to differences in preparation methods and process conditions, the molecular weight of polyisobutene varies widely. The vast majority of products with a molecular weight of 10000-200000 or above will transition from a viscous liquid to a semi-solid, and then to a rubber like elastomer. Polyisobutylene is resistant to acid, alkali, salt, water, ozone, and aging, and has excellent airtightness and electrical insulation properties.
