Oxalic acid dihydrate (formula C₂H₂O₄ ⋅ 2H₂O) is a naturally occurring dicarboxylic acid found in many plants. As a colorless crystalline solid, it is highly prized for rust removal, bleaching, metal polishing, and as an organic acid pesticide. It requires careful handling due to its toxicity.

Industrial Grade:
1. Textile Printing and Dyeing Industry:
Rust Removal: Fabrics easily become stained with rust during processing or storage. Oxalic acid converts insoluble ferrous (Fe2+/Fe3+) iron into readily soluble ferric oxalate complexes, which are then easily washed away.
Printing and Dyeing Auxiliaries: Used as a reducing agent and bleaching agent in printing processes, or as a color-developing auxiliary agent and pH adjuster for dyes (such as reactive dyes).
Leather Industry: Used for tanning and bleaching leather. It removes iron salts and other impurities from the leather surface, resulting in a more even, white, and soft leather.
2. Metal Surface Rust Removal and Cleaning: Widely used as a rust remover and descaling agent. Stubborn rust and scale adhering to the surfaces of industrial boilers, pipes, and mechanical parts can be chemically cleaned using industrial-grade oxalic acid solution.
3. Marble/Stone Renovation and Polishing: It is the core component of marble polishing powder. Oxalic acid reacts with marble (calcium carbonate) to form a slightly slippery protective film of calcium oxalate on the surface. Combined with mechanical friction, this creates a mirror-like finish on the stone.
4. Timber Construction and Bleaching: Used for bleaching moldy wood, cleaning outdoor wood flooring, and cleaning and removing efflorescence (whitening) from building exterior walls.
The inner lining is a polyethylene plastic bag, and the outer lining is a woven plastic bag. Each bag weighs 25 kg net.
