Ethylene bis (stearamide) is a white to pale yellow powder or granular substance. Relative density 0.98 (25 ℃), melting point 130-145 ℃. The flash point is about 285 ℃. Insoluble in water, but the powder has wettability above 80 ℃. Acid, alkali, and aqueous media. Insoluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone, and carbon tetrachloride at room temperature. However, chlorinated hydrocarbons and aromatics that are soluble in heat precipitate and gel when cooling.

1. Performance and use

Ethylene bis stearamide (EBS), also known as vinyl bis stearamide, is one of the earliest developed fatty bis amide products. The EBS structure contains polar amide groups and two hydrophobic groups with long carbon chains, making it highly lubricious at high temperatures and anti adhesive at low temperatures. In addition, it has good compatibility with synthetic resins such as acrylonitrile butadiene styrene polymer (ABS), polyvinyl chloride, phenolic resin, polystyrene, etc.

1: Mainly used as ABS and PE color masterbatch. Lubricants for molding, polishing, injection molding of hard and transparent PVC, PS, PA, POM, PC, etc,

2: Used as a lubricant for high filling PP, and as a surface gloss enhancer, anti sticking agent, and leveling agent in inks, paints, coatings, etc;

3: Used as a drawing lubricant in the metal processing and powder metallurgy industries; Dispersants and lubricants for ABS color masterbatch and PE functional modified masterbatch, lubricants for plastic sheets, defoamers for the paper industry, etc.
