N. N-Dimethyldecanamide (CAS 14433-76-2) is a high boiling point amide solvent that appears as a colorless or pale yellow oily liquid at room temperature. It is mainly used as an efficient solvent (such as a specialized solvent in pesticide emulsions) and an intermediate for the production of surfactants such as quaternary ammonium salts and amine oxides. In industry, it can also be used as a mineral flotation agent and metal corrosion inhibitor.
