Light Stabilizer UV-622 CAS 70198-29-7
Light Stabilizer UV-622 is a hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS), chemically known as poly[[6-[(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)amino]-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diyl][(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl)imino]-1,6-hexanediyl[(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl)imino]]). It appears as a white to off-white powder or granules, with a faint characteristic amine-like odor. Insoluble in water, but slightly soluble in organic solvents such as acetone, chloroform, and toluene. Commonly used as a light stabilizer in plastic and polymer industries to protect materials such as polyolefins (polyethylene, polypropylene), styrenics, polyamides, polyesters, and elastomers from UV-induced degradation, surface chalking, and color fading. Also functions as a long-term thermal stabilizer in agricultural films, fibers, tapes, molded articles, and packaging materials. Exhibits good compatibility and low volatility. Stable under normal storage conditions and should be kept in tightly sealed containers away from light, moisture, and strong oxidizing agents.
