Food Grade:
1. Dough Improver: As a dough conditioner, it accelerates the fermentation of dough products. It breaks disulfide bonds in the dough, weakening the gluten structure and making the dough more extensible and soft, significantly shortening kneading and fermentation time (widely used in the industrial production of bread, steamed buns, and biscuits).
2. Antioxidant and Color Protectant: With its strong reducing properties, it can be added to natural fruit juices and concentrated fruit pulps to prevent the oxidation of vitamin C (VC) and effectively inhibit non-enzymatic browning of fruit products (e.g., preventing apple juice and peach juice from turning black).
3. Meat Flavor Enhancer: When heated at high temperatures, it undergoes a Maillard reaction with reducing sugars, producing a rich aroma characteristic of meat and baked goods, often used in the formulation of meat flavorings.
Cosmetic Grade:
1. Hair Perming/Cold Perm Lotion: The main component of hair is keratin, which maintains its shape through disulfide bonds. 1.Commercial-grade L-cysteine hydrochloride: As a reducing agent, it safely and gently breaks disulfide bonds in hair for shaping. Compared to traditional thioglycolic acid, it is less damaging to hair and has a milder scent.
2.Hair Growth and Conditioning: Used in hair growth perfumes, hair growth serums, or hair conditioners. Sulfur-containing amino acids can be directly absorbed by hair follicles, promoting the synthesis of hair keratin, thus preventing hair loss and conditioning hair quality.
3.Whitening and Sunscreen Skincare: It is a powerful antioxidant synthesized in the body. Added to skincare products, it can assist in whitening, fading dark spots, and protecting against sun damage by scavenging free radicals and interfering with melanin production pathways.
