What is Hydrotalcite?

Hydrotalcite is a layered double hydroxide (LDH) mineral with a structure similar to naturally occurring hydrotalcite. It appears as a white, odorless, fine crystalline powder. It is insoluble in water but soluble in strong acids. The compound exhibits excellent acid-neutralizing capacity, thermal stability, and anion exchange properties. It is widely used as an antacid, stabilizer, and adsorbent in pharmaceutical, polymer, and industrial applications.

Heat stabilizer:

It captures chlorine released during the thermal degradation of PVC, improving the heat stability of the material.
