What is Nadic anhydride?

Nadic anhydride, also known as norborneic anhydride, abbreviated as NA, can be used to continuously co-produce Nadic anhydride and methyltetrahydrophthalic anhydride by cracking C5 as raw material. Application:

1.When used in unsaturated polyester resins, it has better air-drying properties, higher heat resistance, smoothness, electrical performance, corrosion resistance and mechanical strength than resins made from phthalic anhydride and tetrahydrophthalic anhydride.

2. Curing agent for epoxy resin, suitable for casting, lamination, powder molding, etc. The cured product has excellent weather resistance, heat resistance and electrical properties.

3. Nadic anhydride is used as a modifier for alkyd resin, urea-formaldehyde resin, melamine resin, etc.

4. Nadic anhydride can be used in pesticides, vulcanization regulators, plasticizers, surfactants, textile finishing penetrants, etc

Safety profile:

It is a non-toxic and safe ingredient that is good for the skin when used in small quantities. It is also non-sensitizing but can be mildly irritating for sensitive skin. A patch test is, therefore, recommended. It is also safe for the environment and may or may not be considered vegan - depending upon its source.
