Ferrous lactate (Iron(II) lactate, or E585 in the food industry) is a bioavailable iron salt used primarily as a dietary supplement for treating iron deficiency anemia and as an acidity regulator and color-retention agent in foods (such as canned olives).

Food Grade
1. Infant Formula: Widely added to infant formula, weaning complementary foods, and baby rice cereal. Iron deficiency can easily lead to delayed intellectual and physical development in infants. Ferrous lactate has no obvious metallic rust taste, a slightly sweet taste, and is not prone to fatty acid rancidity in humid environments, making it one of the first choices for iron supplementation in infant foods.
2. Fortification of General Foods and Dairy Products: Used for nutritional fortification in high-calcium and high-iron milk powder, modified milk, liquid milk beverages, and formula for pregnant women.
3. Cereals and Solid Beverages: Added to breakfast cereals, biscuits, bread, fruit-flavored solid beverages, or sports energy drinks to enhance the nutritional value of the food without easily destroying the original flavor of the formula.
Feed Grade
1. High-grade anti-anemia additive for piglets: Newly weaned piglets are highly susceptible to iron-deficiency anemia, leading to weakened immunity, diarrhea, or stunted growth. Adding feed-grade ferrous lactate as an organic iron source offers extremely high biological efficacy, rapidly promoting hemoglobin synthesis and helping piglets achieve a healthy "red skin and shiny coat," thus improving survival rates.
2. High-end pet food: Used in premium cat and dog food, as well as pet nutritional pastes, to improve symptoms such as dry coat, lethargy, and weakened immunity caused by iron deficiency in pets.
Industrial grade fine chemical intermediates
Used as a mild reducing agent and catalyst in chemical synthesis or electroplating industries, or as a raw material for synthesizing other iron-based complexes and specialty iron salts.
The inner lining is a polyethylene plastic bag, and the outer packaging is a composite plastic woven bag, with a net weight of 25kg per bag.
