Copper iodide is almost insoluble in water and ethanol, soluble in liquid ammonia, dilute hydrochloric acid, potassium iodide, potassium cyanide or sodium thiosulfate solution, and can be decomposed by concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid
