1.Performance and use
Resorcino is mainly used for rubber adhesives, synthetic resins, dyes, preservatives, pharmaceuticals, and analytical reagents. Resorcinol is similar to phenol and cresol, and forms a condensed polymer with formaldehyde. It can be used to prepare adhesive fibers and tire cord adhesives for nylon, as well as wood adhesives for bonding vinyl materials with metals. Resorcinol is an intermediate for many azo dyes and fur dyes, and is also a raw material for pharmaceutical intermediate para aminosalicylic acid. Resorcinol has antibacterial properties and can be used as a preservative. It is added to cosmetics, skin disease drug pastes, ointments, etc.
