Antimicrobial preservative:

Its main function is to inhibit the growth of microorganisms in water-based products, increasing their shelf life and maintaining product integrity.

Water-based cosmetics like creams, lotions, shampoos, and makeup; as a food additive

Safety profile:

It is a non-toxic and safe ingredient that is good for the skin when used in small quantities. It is also non-sensitizing but can be mildly irritating for sensitive skin.
