Aluminum Chlorohydrate CAS 12042-91-0

Aluminum Chlorohydrate(HAlClO), Also known as polyaluminum chloride and aluminum hydroxide, with CAS number 12042-91-0 and EINECS number 234-933-1, it is an inorganic polymer compound. Its structure is between aluminum chloride and aluminum hydroxide, formed by hydroxyl bridging polymerization. Under normal conditions, it is a colorless or yellow resin like solid, and the solution is a colorless or yellow brown transparent liquid. The alumina content is 8% to 40%.
This substance has strong bridging adsorption, is easily soluble in water, and the solution is corrosive. The hydrolysis process is accompanied by physical and chemical phenomena such as electrochemistry and coagulation. Mainly used as a flocculant for drinking water purification and industrial water treatment, it can remove iron, fluorine, cadmium, radioactive pollutants, etc., and is also applied in the treatment of printing and dyeing wastewater. In addition, it has applications in precision casting, pharmaceuticals, papermaking, petrochemicals and other fields.
