Β-Alanine Cas 107-95-9

β -alanine is a non-essential amino acid and it is the only naturally occurring β -amino acid. In nature, it can exist in a free state in the root nodules of leguminous plants, and is also present in tea leaves, brain hydrolysates of mammals, as well as in tobacco leaves and smoke. It usually cooperates with histidine to produce carnosine, which is stored in our skeletal muscle. Carnosine can effectively reduce the accumulation of lactic acid in muscles during exercise. As a substrate of carnosine, a large number of studies have shown that supplementing β -alanine can enhance athletic performance, especially during high-intensity exercise.
