Rui's pigment can be used directly without any preparation process. A small amount of neutral glycerol is added to the dye solution to prevent methanol evaporation or oxidation, and it can also make blood cell staining clearer. Often used for blood and cell smears, bone marrow cell smears, and bacterial staining. The cytoplasm is red, the nucleus and bacteria are blue, and the eosinophilic granules are orange red.
