Citrus green aldehyde is a low toxicity substance with an acute oral toxicity (LD50) greater than 2000mg/kg (in rats). It may cause mild degreasing sensation in sensitive individuals upon skin contact (prolonged exposure to high concentrations), and inhalation of high concentrations of vapor (>500ppm) may cause respiratory irritation (such as coughing and dry throat).
