 Applications 

1. Collector For Ore Flotation: A cationic collector that adsorbs onto the negatively charged surface of silicate minerals, it is applied in the beneficiation of silicate and other mineral systems.

2. Corrosion Inhibition And Metal Protection: Adsorbs onto metal surfaces to form a protective barrier, giving anodic corrosion inhibition in aggressive aqueous media, and it is used in corrosion inhibitor packages and in encapsulated self healing coatings that release the inhibitor where the coating is damaged.

3. Intermediate For Surfactants And Quaternary Ammonium Salts: A primary fatty amine that is converted into a broad family of downstream products, including amine oxides, betaines and quaternary ammonium salts, and into ethoxylated amines, sarcosines and amide derivatives used as surfactants and emulsifiers.

4. Fertilizer Anti Caking And Water Repellent Agent: Applied as an anticaking and water repellent agent that coats fertiliser granules and keeps them free flowing during storage and handling, and it also serves as a grinding aid for pigments and as a lubricating additive in fuel and lubricant formulations.

5. Textile Antistatic, Softening And Dyeing Auxiliaries: Contributes antistatic and softening performance in textile processing and is used to build dyeing auxiliaries and levelling agents, where its cationic charge improves affinity for the negatively charged surface of fibres.
