Applications 

1. Non Phthalate Primary Plasticizer For PVC: Built on a terephthalate backbone rather than an ortho phthalate one, it works as a primary plasticizer that can replace DOP, DEHP and DINP in flexible PVC across calendering, extrusion and injection moulding, and it delivers good transparency and durability.

2. Toys, Childcare Articles And Consumer Goods: Contains no ortho phthalate ester, so it sits outside the DEHP, DBP, BBP, DINP, DIDP and DNOP restrictions that apply to phthalates in toys and childcare articles, and it is the plasticizer of choice where a toy formulation has to be phthalate compliant.

3. Wire, Cable And Electrical Insulation: Plasticised PVC compounds based on it combine good electrical insulation with low volatility and resistance to heat and cold, so the cable keeps its flexibility and its electrical performance across the service temperature range.

4.  Automotive Interiors, Flooring And Synthetic Leather: Suits calendered and coated PVC for car interiors, floor covering, wall covering and synthetic leather, where low volatility keeps fogging down and the plasticiser resists extraction so the surface stays flexible over time.

5. For Water Treatment And Industrial Processes: Readily water-soluble with strong reducing properties, sodium thioglycolate is applied in water treatment and industrial process water as a reducing agent for redox control, offering formulators a practical option for oxidation management.
