Ammonium iron(III) sulfate, commonly known as ferric ammonium sulfate (FAS) or iron alum, is a double salt. It typically appears as faint violet or colorless octahedral crystals. This highly water-soluble compound is widely used as a chemical reagent, mordant, and water treatment coagulant.

Industrial Grade
1. Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and Metal Etching: While ferric chloride is more commonly used, ferric ammonium sulfate aqueous solution is used as a specialized etching solution for metals such as copper or aluminum in the processing of certain high-precision electronic components that require stable etching speeds and are not prone to excessively rapid lateral etching.
2. Textile and Dyeing Mordant: It is a very traditional resist and mordant in the textile dyeing industry. Because ferric ions can form insoluble lakes with many natural or synthetic dyes (such as scarlet and black dyes), firmly fixing them onto cotton, linen, and silk fibers, it significantly improves color fastness and wash resistance.
3. High-End Photography and Film Washing: In traditional color film processing and darkroom photography, ferric ammonium sulfate is often used as a chemical component in bleaching or thinning solutions to adjust the silver halide contrast of images.
The inner lining is a polyethylene plastic bag, and the outer packaging is a composite plastic woven bag. Each bag weighs 25kg net.
