Applications
1. For Dehumidification And Air Treatment: Lithium chloride (LiCl, CAS 7447-41-8) is a highly hygroscopic salt used as a liquid desiccant in air dehumidification and drying systems, efficiently absorbing moisture from air streams for controlled humidity in industrial, commercial and HVAC applications.
2. For Lithium Metal Production: Anhydrous lithium chloride is the primary raw material for producing lithium metal by electrolysis of molten LiCl-KCl eutectic mixtures, making it an essential input for the battery, energy and specialty materials industries.
3. For Aluminum Brazing And Metal Flux: LiCl is used as a fluxing and brazing agent for aluminum and aluminum alloys, and as an electrolyte additive in metal production processes, helping lower operating temperatures and improve joint quality in welding and metallurgical operations.
4. For Lithium Battery Electrolytes: Lithium chloride serves as a lithium source in electrolyte and dry battery applications, supporting the production of lithium-manganese and other primary battery electrolyte systems.
