 Applications 

1.Coupling Agent For Unsaturated Polyester Composites: 3-Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (CAS 2530-85-0) is a methacrylate functional silane that improves the dry and wet mechanical strength and the electrical properties of unsaturated polyester composites.

2.Glass Fibre Sizing And Treatment: Used in glass fibre sizing together with film formers, lubricants and antistatic agents, it raises the mechanical strength of glass fibre reinforced composites.

3.Filler And Pigment Surface Modification: The silane modifies the surface of siliceous fillers and pigments such as silica, glass, silicates and metal oxides, improving dispersion and helping the filler bond to the polymer.

4.Adhesives And Sealant Tackifiers: As a tackifier in adhesives, sealants and coatings it improves bonding strength, water resistance and weather resistance.

5.Compatibility With Polyolefins And Rubber: Beyond polyester the silane is used with polyurethane, polypropylene, polyethylene and EPDM rubber systems, where it links the inorganic phase to the organic matrix.
