 Applications 

1. Plant Derived Chelating Agent: Made from rice or corn derived phytic acid and supplied as the fully neutralised sodium salt, it carries a high negative charge that lets it lock up divalent and trivalent metal ions such as iron, copper, calcium and zinc, removing the trace metals that would otherwise destabilise a formulation.

2. Stabilises Cosmetic And Personal Care Formulations: Binding the trace metals that catalyse oxidation, it prevents rancidity, discolouration, precipitation and breakdown of active ingredients in skin and hair care products, supports preservation efficiency and extends shelf life, and gives formulators a plant derived chelating option for non EDTA systems.

3. Food Grade Antioxidant And Colour Stabiliser: Chelating the iron and copper ions that trigger oxidative spoilage, it protects colour, flavour and freshness in processed foods and beverages, and it is used where a plant derived route is preferred over phosphate based moisture retention and antioxidant additives.

4. Oral Care And Anti Calculus Applications: Added to toothpastes, mouthwashes and chewing gum as a chelating and oral care ingredient, where it binds the calcium ions involved in calculus formation and helps limit the mineral deposits that build up on tooth surfaces.

5. Water Treatment And Metal Surface Protection: Works as a water softener and scale inhibitor in industrial water circuits, and serves as a plant derived corrosion inhibitor for metal surface pretreatment, conversion coatings and the passivation of galvanised and anodised surfaces.
