1.Foam Booster For Cleansing Products: Cocamidopropyl betaine (CAS 61789-40-0) is an amphoteric surfactant used as a foam booster, producing a rich and stable lather in facial cleansers, body washes, shower gels and shampoos.

2.Mild Co-Surfactant For Sensitive Skin Formulas: Because it is milder than typical anionic surfactants, it is used in formulas designed for sensitive or easily irritated skin, helping lower the irritation potential of the overall surfactant system.

3.Viscosity Building And Emulsion Stability: The betaine also works as a viscosity builder and emulsifying agent, thickening formulations and helping keep the oil and water phases of creams and lotions evenly mixed.

4.Hair Conditioning And Antistatic Effect: In hair care products it reduces static electricity in the hair, making it easier to manage and style, and it contributes a conditioning effect to the hair or skin.

5.Cleaning Applications Beyond Personal Care: The surfactant is also used in liquid hand soaps, dishwashing and laundry detergents, surface cleaners, car wash products, industrial degreasers and floor cleaners, and in pet shampoos and grooming products.
