Diethylene glycol monoethyl ether acetate is an important ether ester organic solvent, which is prepared by the esterification reaction of diethylene glycol monoethyl ether and acetic acid. Its molecular structure contains both ether bonds (- O -) and ester groups (- COO -), combining the low polarity solubility of ethers with the high compatibility of esters. It is an excellent "high boiling point slow drying solvent" in the industrial field.

Butyl Stearate is a non-toxic and safe ingredient that is good for the skin when used in small quantities. It is also non-sensitizing but can be mildly irritating for sensitive skin. A patch test is, therefore, recommended. Butyl Stearate is also safe for the environment and may or may not be considered vegan - depending upon its source.
