Ammonium thiocyanate CAS 1762-95-4

Ammonium thiocyanate is an inorganic ammonium salt composed of ammonium ions and thiocyanate ions, with the molecular formula NH4SCN. It is easily deliquescent in the air and exhibits an endothermic reaction when dissolved in water. It reacts with hydrogen sulfide at 170°C to decompose into ammonia and carbon disulfide, and can be used as a herbicide.
