1.Performance and use

Magnesium hydroxide is a kind of inorganic flame retardant and smoke suppressant with high filling amount and additive type. When heated, decomposition occurs to absorb the heat on the surface of the burning material to achieve flame retardant effect; at the same time, a large amount of water is released to dilute the oxygen on the surface of the burning material, and the active magnesium oxide generated by decomposition will be attached to the surface of the combustible material to prevent the combustion from taking place. In the whole flame retardant process, magnesium hydroxide does not produce any harmful substances, and decomposition of the product in the flame retardant at the same time, but also a large number of plastics, rubber and other polymer combustion to absorb the harmful gases and smoke, is an emerging environmentally friendly inorganic flame retardant.

Used as analytical reagent, also used in the pharmaceutical industry, used in medicine as antacid and laxative, can also be used in the production of sugar and magnesium oxide and so on.
